When you become insured, you will be sent a Certificate of Insurance, summarizing your coverage. This website is only a brief description of some of the policies principal provisions and features. The complete terms are set forth in the group policy issued by New York Life Insurance Company to the Trustees of the American College of Physicians, Inc. Insurance Trust.

If you’re not completely satisfied with the terms of your Certificate of Insurance, you may return it, without claim, within 30 days. Your coverage will be invalidated, and you will be sent a full refund, no questions asked!

Yes, 10 Year Level Term Life is endorsed by ACP.

The ACP Insurance Trust incurs costs in connection with this sponsored Program. To provide and maintain this valuable membership coverage, it is reimbursed for these costs.

If you change your mind, you can return your Certificate of Insurance within 30 days, without claim, and get a full refund of any premium paid – no questions asked. Your coverage will then be invalidated.

Only after you are approved. You’ll then receive a premium notice along with your Certificate of Insurance.

No. Your premium is guaranteed for the first 10 years. Click the “Overview” tab above for what your options are after this initial period.

Our member-exclusive rates are based on a history of favorable claims experience with ACP members. You can also take advantage of a 20% premium credit, although not guaranteed and subject to change, the Level Term Life Insurance program for ACP members has returned premium credits for several years.

Although your employer may offer life insurance coverage, it might not be enough to help provide for the many financial obligations your family would face on their own were they to lose you. Plus, unlike most employer-provided life insurance, this coverage is portable, meaning it can stay with you even if you change jobs (subject to U.S. government regulations on restricted nations and Group Policy terms governing termination of coverage).

With Level Term Life Insurance, you can lock in your premium so it’s guaranteed to stay the same for your initial term of 10 years, giving you the reassurance that if your loved ones unexpectedly lost you, they would at least have the financial help of the insurance benefit you have arranged.

You may apply for anywhere between $100,000 and $2,000,000, in multiples of $10,000, if you are an ACP Member, Associate, Medical Student, Physician Affiliate, Non-Physician Affiliate, Fellow or Master under age 65 for the 10‑year term and a resident of the United States (except territories) and Puerto Rico.

You may also apply for coverage for your lawful spouse under age 65 for the 10‑year term for $100,000 to $2,000,000 of coverage, in multiples of $10,000. Your spouse coverage amount cannot exceed yours.

If your spouse is also an ACP member, they are eligible for either member or dependent coverage, but not both. If both you and your spouse are covered as members, neither may insure the other as spouse and only one may insure any eligible children.

You may reapply for new 10-yeal level term rates, if eligible or continue on a non-guaranteed basis if not approved.

Fast online application process with typically no medical exam. Just answer some health questions along with obtaining secure data sources such as prescription, medical claims history, and motor vehicle reports.

In addition, dependent coverage will terminate when your coverage ends, or when the dependent eligibility requirements are no longer being met. Upon your death, coverage for your insured dependents may continue as described in the Certificate of Insurance.

The only exclusion is if death by suicide (whether sane or insane) occurs within 24 months from issue date (premiums returned).
